Vintage 1970's Bedknobs & Broomsticks Disney Production Animation Cel
This is an authentic Vintage 1970's Bedknobs & Broomsticks Disney Production Animation Cell The cell measures 9 1/2" high x 13 3/8" wide, the framed piece measures 16 1/2" high x 20 1/2" wide. The original label is on the back.
Shows multiple characters in one scene
Actually used in the original 1971 film
Gold metal frame has some scratches
Cel has some waves, as expected for its age
This is an original painting actually used in Walt Disney Productions. For each movement in the action of a character in a Walt Disney Production's animated film, a cel painting must be made. These cel paintings are then photographed in succession over master backgrounds producing on the motion picture film numerous pictures, each with it's change of movement. Then when projected on the screen it's rapid succession create the illusion of motion.
Condition is good. No rips, tears, or repairs.
The cel has some yellowing and has slid down at the top left corner. Needs to be realigned. That’s a simple fix
Looks like The yellowing may just be from the age of the backing paper and I was told that it can be easily replaced but I’m not sure
Double gold matt
The red octopus color is blurry and out of the lines. I was told that it was that red bleeds onto the backing paper with age.
I am not an expert.
Has some residue from a sticker on the glass
Ready to hang
