Mercury 2001 75hp outboard motor standard 20” inch shaft length model 75ELPTO Last of the super reliable 2 stroke simple carbureted model which makes great power and light weight with desirable oil injection.
Note: the motor alone is being sold in this auction. if needing controls and or a prop contact me, I have controls and a prop for this motor in my possession.
Motor is all original, never taken apart or rebuilt which is how you want to buy a used outboard. Power tilt works good and lower unit is free of water and metal shavings. Compression of 115lbs between cylinders which is perfect for this model. Motor only has 311 hours when removed which is super low and was replaced with a new four stroke and is now available for purchase.
