Description

For sale a good used 2010 Mercury 75hp Optimax. This is a direct fuel injected two stroke, electric start, power trim and tilt, tiller, 20" long shaft motor. We can convert to a 25" Extra long shaft if needed. We can also convert to a remote and include controls if needed.
We went through the motor and performed a leak down test and all the cylinders were less than 5% which is great. A leak down test measures the air leaking past the piston and rings by placing air pressure into the spark plug and rotating piston to top dead center. This percentage is measured with a gauge with 100% leak down the worst and 0% the very best. Most engines of any displacement have some percentage of leak down. However, you want all cylinders equal or close to equal and once it gets above 20% you will have running issues most of the time. We checked for codes, installed a new water pump impeller, pressure and vacuum tested gearcase. We do have video of this running we can send. These were a very solid and reliable engine and had great power to eight ratio. They are good on fuel and oil as well. Overall, this is a great running motor that starts and works great. This has been used in freshwater. This comes with prop and controls you have to provide info on what this is going on and we will provide correct controls, cables and aluminum prop for application. We do offer a 60 day in house
warranty
