Believe it or not, we used to have currency that was able to be converted to gold. This is a TEN THOUSAND DOLLAR GOLD CERTIFICATE. You can't get ,000 in cash for it any more. It has been perforated punch cancelled by the US government. Technically, this has the status of a cancelled check. The story was that there was a fire at a warehouse used by the Treasury. They just threw boxes of these notes out the window so they would not burn up!
This is a Freidberg 1225h. This note has been graded by PCGS as Choice Uncirculated 64. This note is punch cancelled (like the vast majority of them). This is a really neat note. You don't have to take my word for the grade of the note, you just have to trust PCGS.

Shipping will be done by USPS Express mail. For most of the US, this arrives in one business day. Your note will be shipped within 2 business days from the end of the auction. Usually notes are shipped the next day, but sometimes I am traveling and unable to get items mailed.
