Here is a beautiful Bjorn Winblad Bjørn
Wiinblad Lady Angel Candlestick with the original sticker and made in Denmark. The piece is 7 3/8 inches tall and 3.25 inches across at the base. It has a lovely all over soft blue design on a pale gray background. The piece features a sweet face dressed in a beautiful dress and wings, and much more. Marked on the bottom: Danmark, L-88, and ’79. Also has the original sticker: Bjorn Winblad HUS. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, scratches, repairs, or stains, was only displayed and not used. Will ship quickly USPS. Love to combine shipping. History: Bjørn Wiinblad (20 September 1918 – 8 June 2006), was a Danish painter, designer and artist in ceramics, silver, bronze, textiles, and graphics. His work has been shown widely in Europe, in the United States of America first in 1954 and in Japan, Australia and Canada in 1968. Characteristics of Wiinblad's work include whimsical round-faced people, dressed in vaguely 19th-century costume. They are often surrounded by natural elements: twining vines, floral wreaths, and fantastical trees. When Wiinblad employed color, he did so with great assurance. His colors are saturated and strong—sometimes almost psychedelic—and are often supplemented with metallic gold or silver.
