Betty Lou Gerson the voice of Cruella de Vil. This is a limited edition sericel depicting the entrance of Miss Cruella de Vil from Walt Disney’s 101 Dalmatians (1961). This sericel is called “Hello, Dahling!” and recreated Sequence 2, Scene 58 of the Animated Classic. It features Cruella barging into the home of her old school chum, Anita. Cruella expresses her passionate fondness for fur coats --- while eerily

Anita’s Dalmatians. This Edition was produced in 1997. Edition Size is 5000 pieces, worldwide. Cel size is 14 x 10 inches inside the matting.

This Hard to find sericel has been hand signed (autographed) by the original voice artist from 1961, the late Betty Lou Gerson. Betty signed this for me, just a couple years before she past away. Any fan of her's would LOVE to have this piece in their collection.  In addition, it was signed by legendary Disney Animator MARC DAVIS.

Betty Lou Gerson (April 20, 1914 - January 12, 1999)
was an American actress, predominantly in radio, but also in film and television, and as a voice actress. In the 1950s, she was cast as the narrator in Walt Disney's version of Cinderella. This may have led to her best known role, several years later, when she provided the voice of the villainous, selfish socialite “Cruella De Vil” in the 1961 Walt Disney animated feature “One Hundred and One Dalmatians”. Her few on-camera film roles include appearances in The Fly, The Miracle on the Hills, and Mary Poppins (a small cameo as a crone). In television, she guest starred on Perry Mason, The Twilight Zone, The Dick Van Dyke Show, and The Rifleman. She was honored as a Disney Legend in 1996. She returned to films one last time in 1997, providing the voice of Frances the fish in Cats Don't Dance.
Marc Davis, who animated the sweeping, swirling, chain-smoking villain, credited Betty Lou for inspiring his pencil work. He said, "That voice was the greatest thing I've ever had a chance to work with. A voice like Betty Lou's gives you something to do. You get a performance going there, and if you don't take advantage of it, you're off your rocker."
What is a sericel?
A Sericel
is a serigraphy process that involves silk-screening each individual color to the cel, one at a time. Every distinct shade is a separate screen, and a separate pass in the procedure. As a result of this fine art operation, each color is flawlessly reproduced. Sericels are also created in limited quantities, typically 2500 to 5000 pieces and sometimes even 9500. Because of their larger edition size, sericels are the most affordable type of animation art, ideal for the beginning collector. The word Sericel is a contraction of Seri-graphed Cel.
