Mickey says Follow Me to the multiply broomsticks "Fantasia Mickey" Disney Sericel Animation Art. Cel size 14 x 11 with an edition size of 2500 pieces, issued by Disney in the 1980s.  Framed size 21 x 18. Mickey Directs the Broomsticks to carry his water. This is Mickey's in his most famous role as the Sorcerers Apprentice in 1940's "Fantasia."

In the 1980s and early 1990's it was customary for Disney to issue it's sericels without a background. Cels were simply mounted over white matt-board background. That wasn't good enough for us, so we created a castle interior background with some additional broomsticks. Gives the piece some gravitas.

What is a sericel?
A Sericel
is a serigraphy process that involves silk-screening each individual color to the cel, one at a time. Every distinct shade is a separate screen, and a separate pass in the procedure. As a result of this fine art operation, each color is flawlessly reproduced. Sericels are also created in limited quantities, typically 2500 to 5000 pieces and sometimes even 9500. Because of their larger edition size, sericels are the most affordable type of animation art, ideal for the beginning collector. The word Sericel is a contraction of Seri-graphed Cel.
