Custom made background.
This piece was issued by Disney without a background. At the time it was customary for Disney NOT to provide a background for it's sericels. Cels were simply mounted over a white matt-board background.  So we have created this NEW background re-creating the stage from the Mickey Mouse Club animated sequences of the 1950s. The background is of a unique size and has a beautiful color tone to it, as it represents the 1950s era of animation. Background is Not available separately.
Please don't ask if you can buy it. IF you want this background you'll need to buy this piece.

What is a sericel?
A Sericel
is a serigraphy process that involves silk-screening each individual color to the cel, one at a time. Every distinct shade is a separate screen, and a separate pass in the procedure. As a result of this fine art operation, each color is flawlessly reproduced. Sericels are also created in limited quantities, typically 2500 to 5000 pieces and sometimes even 9500. Because of their larger edition size, sericels are the most affordable type of animation art, ideal for the beginning collector. The word Sericel is a contraction of Seri-graphed Cel.
