A beautiful chawan bowl with white and pink shinoglaze designed by the contemporary Swedish artist Isak Isaksson in his own studio. The bowl is 9,5 cm in diameter and 9 cm high and in mint condition. Isak is one of the most well known contemporary ceramic artists in Sweden.
Isak Isaksson was born in 1949 and is one of Sweden´s leading contemporary ceramic artists. Isak has become a master in throwing and a specially in glazing. Isak has been exhibit numerous of times all over the world and in 2019 he received the title of certified ceramic master – the highest recognition in Swedish pottery. He is a master of the crystalline glazes which makes his artworks really unique. Isak is the only westerner who has received the Sen Hounzai Soshitsu Prize in Japan for his chawan.
