Masonic Order of the Eastern Star Lodge Sign with Painted Symbols & Lights

On the block in this auction is a large inverted five-pointed star signage utilized by the
Masonic Order of the Eastern Star
.
This unique ceremonial sign is adorned with vibrant hand painted symbols.
An arched banner atop the star, connecting the top two points, reads:
We Have Seen His Star In The East And Are Come To Worship Him.
The sign is composed of sectioned panels, separated by metal strips.
The sides and back are also silver metal - possibly aluminum.
Each panel of the prominent star, as well as the panels adjacent to the corners of the star, contains at least one light inside the sign to illuminate depending on the specific needs of the ceremony and/or the organization.
These lights can easily be accessed from the back of the sign through portals.
An on/off toggle switch Controller Panel is attached to the sign by an eight (8) foot long cable.
This controller has sixteen (16) switches that activate the lights within each compartment of the star.
This allows enhanced flexibility in displaying the appropriate light(s) for each particularized ceremony.
The two lights in the banner continuously illuminate as long as the sign is electrically connected.

A unique, original piece, dating back to 1968 (an engraved plate on the side verifies its age back at least that far).
Has not been repainted.
Has no cracks or dents.
Has not been rewired.
No frayed wiring.
No burning wire smell when lit.
Other than minor scratches from use/transportation and one light that may require a gentle shake of the controller (something loose inside) to stay lit, this piece is in Extremely Good Used Condition.
This precious cargo will be packaged, shipped and insured by UPS.
