    Description

    Welcome!
I'm offering for your consideration a stunning hand crafted Navajo ring dating as far back as the 1950s-60s, featuring spectacular turquoise that appears to be from the No. 8 mine. This stone is very valuable. The ring is currently a size 7.5 and it's sizable with laser. The face measures about 1-3/8"H by 7/8"W.  The beautiful stone is plain bezel set sightly raised above the frame, with the bezel slightly tapped over the stone to secure it very well, as was done in the very old pieces, then the stone is framed in twisted wire and finally framed in hand stamped flattened wire. There are three hand made and hand applied raindrops at the top and bottom. The shank is chisel split near the face for stability. So the silver work is quite elaborate, honoring this special piece of turquoise. Unsigned, unmarked sterling silver, which is usual for the older pieces. It weighs 9.6 grams and is in excellent vintage, wearable and collectible condition. Just a great piece you won't want to take off, just the right color for faded denim and yet perfect with fine silks!
