    Description

    Original large Hudson Motor Car Co. threaded hubcap grease cover for spoked artillery wheels. Made of pressed and machined polished aluminum with black painted infill. The Hudson was built from 1909 to 1954 in Detroit. Online research indicates this type of cap was used from 1916 to 1928 but I do not know exact year, model or application for this example. There were two size designs made and this is the larger size used on the front hubs. 3 13/16" wide by 2 3/8" high, 3 3/8" threads. Very good used condition, no dents, cracks, bends or wrench marks, a few minor scratches. The face with the Hudson block letter triangle insignia emblem logo nameplate is very nice with most of the black paint intact. This cap would benefit from a good cleaning and polishing. Dusty inside, no cracks or deformation, threads look good. Great for your collection or very easily restored. U.S. buyers will pay .90 for Priority shipping, International shipping cost will vary based on location.
