Description
Rare original Lincoln threaded hubcap for spoked artillery wheels, made of heavy pressed and machined brass with chrome plating. After leaving Cadillac, Henry Leland built Lincolns from 1920 to 1922 in Detroit until the company was taken over by Ford. Online research indicates this type of cap was used from 1923 to 1928 but I do not know exact year, model or application for this example. This large sized cap was used on the rear wheels only. 5 1/8" wide by 2 5/8" high, 4 11/16" threads. This cap is in excellent used but restored condition with no wear or damage of any kind. It has been rechromed with show quality plating but the center emblem is still sharp and clear. Very hard to find, especially in such amazing condition, great for your collection, or mount it right on your restored car.
