Description
Very rare original and restored Mitchell threaded hubcap grease cover for spoked artillery wheels. Made of heavy cast and machined chrome plated brass. Mitchell built cars from 1903 to 1923 in Racine, WI. Online research has been inconclusive, I assume it is from the late teens or early 20s but I do not know exact year, model, or application. 3 3/16" wide by 2 3/8" high, 2 3/4" threads. Very good to excellent used and restored condition with no damage of any kind, the only wear is some softening of detail in the script logo on the face. The chrome plating is incorrect as the original would have been nickel but this is deep flawless show chrome. Clean inside, the threads are intact and appear very nice The face with the Mitchell script logo emblem insignia nameplate is very nice but missing the original infill paint. Very hard to find, great for your collection or use on your restored car. U.S. buyers will pay .90 for Priority shipping, International shipping cost will vary based on location. NO RESERVE.
