    Description

    Rare original Stutz threaded hubcap grease cover for spoked artillery wheels. Made of pressed and machined aluminum. The Stutz was built from 1911 to 1935 in Indiaianapolis, IN and was famous due to the success of early racing cars and its Bearcat speedster model. Online research indicates this type of cap was used from 1923 to 1925 on 6 cylinder models but I do not know exact year, model, or application for this cap. 3 5/8" wide by 2" high, 3 7/16" threads. Good used condition with no dents, cracks or deformation, minor wrench marks, one edge scrape at 10:00. Clean inside, threads look good. The face with the Stutz logo emblem insignia nameplate is very nice. This cap needs detail cleaning and polishing, I have done a small portion of the face to show how it will clean up. Hard to find, great for your collection, use as is on a driver, or easily restored. U.S. buyers will pay .90 Priority shipping, International shipping cost will vary based on location.
