Description
Antique Plymouth threaded hubcap grease cover for wood spoked artillery wheels. Made of pressed and polished aluminum in a two-piece design. The Plymouth was built from 1928 to 2006 by Chrysler Corporation in Detroit. Online research indicates this type of cap was used in 1929 and 1930 but I do not know exact year, model, or application for this example. 3 7/8" wide, 1 7/8" high, 2 5/16" threads. Very good used condition, no bends, scrapes or wrench marks, one dent on the lower edge that has been partially repaired, some minor scratches and nicks. The face with the highly detailed Plymouth "P" logo emblem insignia nameplate is very nice. The surface is shiny but would benefit from a good detail cleaning and polishing. Clean inside, no cracks or deformation, threads may need some work. NOTE: I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS AN ORIGINAL CAP OR A PERIOD AFTERMARKET REPLACEMENT, BUYER MUST DECIDE BEFORE BIDDING. Great for your collection, use as is on a driver or easily restored. U.S. buyers will pay .90 for Priority shipping, International shipping cost will vary based on location. NO RESERVE.
