Here is a very rare
1921 "CAILLE" Liberty Drive Rowboat Motor
that is 2 horse power.
This is the
only Genuine Tilting Motor
that was on the market in 1921.
Any weeds that wrap around the Propeller can quickly be thrown off by
Tilting
the Running Motor upwards and out of the water....
and the weeds will fly off !
I bought this at an Estate Sale just as you see it.
It appears to be only cosmetically restored years ago....since it looks like it
was hardly used,
I think it probably didn't need to be fully restored or rebuilt.
It looks to be in excellent condition
, it turns over very nicely, and it looks like it only needs a spark plug wire.
This motor has the Battery Type ignition.
