Set of 4 Original XK-E JAGUAR Knockoff Hubcaps for Wire Wheels 1961-74 With Tool

Matched set of four original threaded knockoff hubcaps for a Jaguar XK-E sports car with factory installation tool. The XK-E was built from 1961 to 1974 in Coventry UK, all using spin-on wire wheel hubcaps tightened with a hammer. The first design had two projecting "ears", in 1968 this was changed to the three shallow ears like these due to US safety rules but they all fit the same. This lot consists of two right side and two left side hubcaps, heavy cast and machined bronze with chrome plating and "JAGUAR" logo with black painted infill. They measure 4" outside diameter not counting the ears by 1 5/8" high with 2  9/16" diameter coarse female threads. The installation tool is designed to take the damage of the hammer blows with minimal effect on the hubcap itself. It is 5" in diameter not counting the ears bu 15/16" high made of a heavy alloy. All five pieces are in very good used condition with no major damage, good threads, and most of the original plating intact and shiny. They do all have minor nicks, scratches and plating wear typical of use (see photos) but I would classify them as in very nice driver condition. Hard to find a nice set of these together with the tool, great for your collection, use as is on a driver or very easily restored to concours.
