LOVELY, VINTAGE 1950s ERA, SIGNED SAMSAN CO., MADE IN USA,
ORDER OF THE EASTERN STAR - OES
MASONIC FRATERNAL ORGANIZATION,
10K YELLOW GOLD WITH BLACK ONYX STONE,
WOMEN'S COCKTAIL / FASHION RING
IN A US SIZE 6, TOP MEASURES 13/16" LONG x 1/2" WIDE,
SHANK IS 1/16" WIDE, STONE MEASURES ABOUT 3.5 CARATS,
TOTAL WEIGHT OF 4.2 GRAMS
Shows light wear from use and storage, including minor surface marks, scratches, and the stone has a few very minor chips.  We recently hand polished it and it shines very nice, is very clean, is straight and not bent, with no major issues at all.
It is nicely done in a
rectangular
shape, featuring a
prominent
black onyx stone and the OES symbol in the center, all done in yellow gold.
It is signed on the inside 10K with SA in a box, the hallmark for historic and listed USA jeweler, Samsan Co. of Providence, Rhode Island.  They were well known for their jewelry sold in major US department stores.  We did perform a stone and acid test and it confirms 10K gold.
We measured this ring with a professional ring mandrel and it comes out to be a US size 6 and we measured the onyx stone with a gemstone gauge tool and is about 3.5 carats.
