This limited-edition Giclee print, “Steadfast Romance”, is inspired by the “Piano Concerto #2” segment from Disney’s animated feature Fantasia/2000 (2000).
As a steadfast tin soldier is reunited with a porcelain ballerina, their faith proves the power of true love.
The Walt Disney Studios has created this character image using the fine art printing process of color reproduction known as Giclee. In this process, Pacific Editions took computer-based digital files created by Disney artists based on material from the film and printed them by spraying millions of pinpoint-sized drops per second onto premium-quality, acid-free paper with an enhanced printer, specially modified for fine art reproduction.
Published by Walt Disney Art Classics, this limited edition was produced in 2000. It is comprised of a general edition of no more than 300 prints, numbered 1/300 to 300/300, 30 publisher’s proofs, numbered PP 1/30 to PP 30/30, and 25 hors de commerce, numbered HC 1/25 to HC 25/25. This publisher approves of the techniques used in the production of this edition and the proofs thereof.
The digital file master used to create the print is archived with the publisher. No additional fine art multiples of this image, including proofs, have been produced in this or any other limited edition, except only as necessary to replace pieces in this edition that are damaged in shipment, but still maintaining the stated edition size.
