Big B recalls getting electric shock from his jacket in Sara Zamana song

In a recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, Amitabh Bachchan shared behind-the-scenes stories about his iconic song Sara Zamana from Yaarana while interacting with contestant Swapn Chaturvedi from Madhya Pradesh.
Swapn, a fan of the film, praised Amitabh for his versatility, to which the actor humorously responded, “Hum toh naukri ke chakkar mein hote hain, bas naukri mil jaye!” (I’m just trying to get a job).
Talking about Sara Zamana, Amitabh recalled suggesting to shoot the song in Kolkata’s newly opened Netaji Subhas Chandra Stadium. However, a massive crowd of 50,000 people showed up, far exceeding the stadium’s 12,000 capacity, forcing them to stop filming. Later, they secretly returned to shoot at night, using candles to create the illusion of an audience.

He also shared a funny story about his ‘bijli wala jacket’, revealing that the lights were powered by a wire, and he started dancing not by choice, but because of the electric shocks. “The moment the electricity flowed, I started dancing—not because I wanted to, but because I was getting electric shocks!” he shared.
